Due to the holiday rush I am posting my photography challenge for K2 Scrapbook Studio a day late.....and since I know the rest of you are caught up in this wonderful time of year....I will make this months challenge simple....
This weeks photography challenge is black & white. There's something so classy about a b&w photo that i love. Changing a photo to black & white can also be very helpful when there are a lot of contrasting colors in a photo... it definitely helps keep the focus on the subject.
I prefer to shoot b&w photos with my camera instead of changing it to b&w in Photoshop or another photo editing program. So...if you have a b&w setting on your camera I would like you to shoot it that way...if not feel free to take a photo in color and convert it to b&w in your photo editing program...
Have fun and be creative....hint...don't be afraid to shoot something about Christmas in b&w...it can make a really elegant look....

This photo was taken with my camera in Black & White. The little girl had on a jewel tone dress and the Grandpa had a bright red shirt...which of course clashed....so shooting it in b&w was the perfect choice....

Ever since I joined facebook I have been neglecting my blog...
so I have decided to use it as a tool to help build my Photography Business...I started out just taking photos of friends and family and it slowly grown into so much more .In High School my brother called me "Kodak Kim"...kinda catchy...LOL.
Photography as always been a passion of mine and something I truly love....trying to capture the perfect moment, that little boys expression, that special time in a Graduating Seniors life or that family documenting the holiday season for the annual Christmas Card.
For the past year I have been working with Venice Magazine and have been lucky enough to land three covers and several features in the magazine. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have my worked published in a magazine. It as been a blessing. I am in the process of creating a new website for my photography business, which I am very excited about. You can look for that in the next month or so.
