Lots to share with you today....It was a good but busy weekend.  Lots going on in the Bolyard Home.

*My Monday Challenge last week was to use Paint....Got some great ones but this one by Laura Vegas is my pick for the week.  Thanks Laura for playing with paint and participating in the challenge.

*Friday was Tori's 8th Grade Dance.  I am so lucky to have kids that don't mind me chaperoning these events.  The theme was "An Evening On Ice".  they had a snow machine, slushies, a chocolate fountain and a photo booth.  Tori had a great time with her friends and night ended with a Hummer Limo ride for dessert and around Sarasota.  What a great night for a fourteen year.  To only be that age again. Here are a few shots from the dance..

*My NSD ended with a bang....I had been surfing the web late on NSD and several of my favorite blogs were giving away goodies if you posted a comment....well to my surprise I won a kit full of really cool stuff  from Hambly.... You can check out my prize at the Hambly Blog. I was very excited to see my name on their blog as one of the winners.  Can't wait to get my kit in the mail.

*I spent most of my Sunday at home with the family...got some good organizing done in my scrapbook room and we had family Taco night...it was a good day!

*Thanks to my friend Jocie for leading to C & B for this great find...It arrived on Saturday...love my new basket...holds all my extra spools of ribbon. Best part was it was on sale!

Something I have never done before....

Today was very exciting for me.  I got to be a "photographer",  that's right...I know that I missed my calling.  I should have paid more attention in my photography class in high school.  A good friend of mine is a professional photographer and she takes photos for Golf tournaments, and mostly the ones that are raising money for great causes.

If you live in Florida or love football you will be familiar for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Derrick  Brooks, who plays for them started an organization called Brooks Kids.  He helps kids get a college education that are less fortunate and would not have the chance.  For the past 6 years he has held this tournament to raise money for such things.  My girlfriend takes the photos every year for the tournament and I was lucky enough to go with her today and take photos of the golfers.  The cool part of it all is that each group of  golfers has a sports celeb with them. 

Now the really fun part for me was getting photos and autographs of some of the Tampa Bay Buccaneer players.  Even though I don't really know who all of them are I had from my assistant who is a big Bucs fan and she kept me up to date on who everyone was.  All the guys were really great and raised a ton of money for Charity.  I love being a part of this event and had a great time.  Here are some of the photos with the celebs....

New DO!!!!

So I have a hair appointment today  with plans of color and a trim...well it was time for a change.

Here is my new DO!!! Cut it all off.  I feel 10 pounds lighter. This will take some getting use to but I am liking it so far and have gotten several compliments...let see what my family will think we they see it, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Thank goodness it is over!!!

Finally have power back after three days due to Hurricane Wilma... The kids had no school on Monday and oh what fun home with three kids and no power.  Gary took us all to lunch at hooters and dinner at a Thai place that he loves.  No power means no cooking, I kind a like that.  Things are getting back to normal now.  Today I took burger king to Weston at school and we ate lunch together.  We have a busy weekend ahead.  Starting tomorrow fall party at Weston's class, Saturday...soccer game, high school idol practice for Chelsea, Hair appt and homecoming dance at riverview high for Chelsea and somewhere in there we need to hit the pumpkin patch to buy a pumpkin for halloween and get some fall photos with the pumpkins.  Sunday I may get to relax. 

Another Hurricane!!!!

When is this going to end....I thought we were out of the woods for this year.  Hope and pray that It heads south and we will not have to pack up and leave.  Why I am I still living in Florida after last years hurricane season???? I have ask myself that everyday this week.  Arizona is looking better everyday.  Yes,  my little town of Nokomis is in the cone......Wish us luck!!

9/11

Everytime I see or hear those numbers....9/11....Sept. 11 all I can do is think back to 9/11. Never beofre have a moment like that stuck in my head.  Sitting in the library at my daughters school when the first plane hit the world trade center.  It is one of those moments you will remeber where you were forever.  My Mom once told me she was shopping at the supermaket when Kennedy was shot.  She said she will never forget where she was.  These numerber or should I say date send chills down my spine and not good ones.  Know I find myself feeling the pain of all the people affected by Hurricane Katrina.  Where do they begin to rebuild and a few years from now you will be hearing about this storm on the histroy channel or discorvey channel or something like that.  I hope for all the people whos lives are changed forever that these hard times will pass quickly and they can move on and look back in history several years from now and know that they were strong enough to make it through.  It makes me thankful for everything I have and that my family is safe and well.  Gary is in watching football, I can hear Tori on the phone talking and giggling with her new friend Lauren, Chelsea is of to church and dinner to celebrate her friend Christina's birthday and Weston is tucked into to his bed sleeping peacefully.  How lucky am I at this moment that everything is good.  I need to remind myself of that more often and not allow myself to feel down. Life is Good!
