Brought back so many memories being at my old High School and see friends I have not seen in years....We had a great time at the first Annual Alumni Tailgate party and football game....I wasso excited to go and it was great....those were the days...

Happy St Patty's day...

Don't forget to wear green today.....and don't drink to much green beer, if that is your kind of thing.  Tonight I will be cooking Cornbeef and cabbage for dinner in honor of St. Patricks Day....Can't wait it is one of my favorite things to cook and I try to always make it on St Patricks Day....Hope you are feeling Lucky....Here is a layout I did about how lucky I am to have three beautiful children.  Used the Rusty Pickle St Patty's line on this layout. Tag...I'm it....

I've been tagged by the amazing Aimee, who was tagged by Paula, who was tagged by Celeste, who was tagged by  Tina, who was tagged  Angie and that's as far back as I know.

Here's what I have to do:
* Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.

* I was engaged to my husband four days after we met...we have been married for almost 18 years.

* When I was 13 years old I won the Jr. Orange Bowl Beauty Pageant and even got to ride on the   Queen's float in the New Years day parade.

*I love get pedicures...I try to get one at least once a month.

* My grandfather called me "Kimbe" my whole life...he could never say Kimberly and Kimbe just stuck.

*I am a night owl....Love to stay up at watch movies and bravo TV.  Which leads to loving to nap during the day to catch up on my sleep...I love to sleep.

*I took dance lessons for 16 years...tap dancing was my favorite.

*I hate to cook...avoid it at all cost.  Will eat out every night if my family would let me.

finally a new post...

Been so busy with things after last week that I haven't  had time to post.  I have lots to share....

Had a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving at my Sisters...

The kids hung out and played, enjoyed my Mom's turkey dinner.  Haven't had it in a couple of years due to traveling on Thanksgiving for soccer...it sure beats Crackle Barrel.  Later that evening after stuffing ourselves and a long walk to walk off the tons of food the kids roasted marshmallows and mad smores...

*Saturday Chelsea and I headed up to Gainesville to watch Univ. of Florida beat Florida State....good times!!!

We hung with our good friends Mel and Jared.  Mel is graduating from UF in a couple of weeks...

Go Gators!!!!

While we were eating Turkey here at home Gary and Tori were cheering on the Dallas Cowboys in the Thanksgiving Day football game...it was Tori's first Pro Football game... They were in Texas for a soccer tournament...

Tori called me from the game to let me that it was snowing at the game...cool for a Florida girl to see.

* Show and tell for this week...I finally finished my ATC card holder from 7 Gypsies...totally inspired by Ali Edwards "Twas the Night before Christmas Project".  If you would like to make one of these and live locally you can pick up the ATC Holder at  K2 Scrapbook Studio...I am so pleased with how it turned out.

*I am off to Raleigh, NC tonight with Tori and Gary for another soccer tournament...excited to go.  I lived there for a brief time in 1987...can't wait to see how much it changed. I am also meeting up with one of my Design Team members from Keeping Memories Alive...excited to meet Michelle.

lazy day...

Not much going around here this weekend. It is one of those "we have nothing going on weekends", which is actually nice for a change.

Maybe I can get some much needed thing done on "Things to do list":

*Get organized for my upcoming SDV "Scrappers Dream Vacation". Four days of uninterrupted scrapbooking with my girlfriends...what could be better then that. 

*grocery shopping

*laundry

*rent a good chic flic for Saturday night

*vacuum

*relax!!!!

*Edit:  last minute Back to school Mom's only cocktail party!!!!!

I have been tagged by my blog friend Maria...I have to list seven random things about me and tag 7 other bloggers...

7 random things:

1) I love diet coke...I drink way to much of it

2) I sometimes wish I lived in NYC...love that city

4) I am addicted to the show Friends...I watch the reruns almost everyday

5) I know how to tap dance...took dance lessons for 16 years and was even in the dance company in college

Take a long hot shower, open a bottle of wine...and watch a chic flick!

a weeken trip to New York City...theatre, shopping and great resturants.

3. What do you do while waiting in the doctors office?
Read a magazine...I usally bring along a scrapbook magzine to read

4. Would you rather spend an afternoon alone in a book store, a mall, napping in the hammock?

5. You have an unexpected 48 hour stay in the hospital. You're coherent and not in pain. How do you spend the time? Reading? Channel Surfing? Laptop surfing? Calling your friends to come visit? Ringing for a nurse every five minutes? Sleeping?

It has to be become best friends with the stranger seated next to me...it is what I always do....and I have met some really cool people that way.  As my kids say...I talk to everybody.

7. You have a seven hour layover in Chicago O'Hare Airport. Do you wear down your cellphone battery calling friends? Read a book? People watch? Shop every store in the airport? Take a taxi and see the city?
Take a taxi and see the city....I would go crazy sitting in the airport

8. What do you do when you're bored stiff?
Sleep

9. Work first, play later? OR Play while you can, the work will still be there when you get home?
Play first....the laundry can wait, it always does anyway!

10. List three times that you are easily bored.
Waiting in the carline at school to pick up my kids, Sunday afternoons, when I try to read a book and can't get into it.

Tuesday recap.....

Just a few things that have been happening around here over the weekend....

1) Had family visiting over the weekend and got in a photo shoot of all the grandkids (my Mom's that is) together, which rarely happens. Not the best photos cause a thunderstorm was starting to blow in and we had to move the shoot inside and this isn't all the Grandkids...my nephew was not at the dock yet and my other nephew would not go on to the dock....it is really hard to get 8 kids to cooperate for a photo.  Will share more photos later.

 

2) The Design Team layouts went up at KMA's Gallery...head over and check them out. There is some great inspiration.  Here are a couple of mine.

3) The family and a few of the girls friends went out for a family night of bowling on Sunday evening.  We had a great time and laughed and got silly.  It was a photo less night....but it really allowed me to be in the moment and enjoy my kids.  Once in a while that is a good thing.

4) Been home the last couple of days...other then a few errands.  We have been having typical Florida Weather....cloudy and thunderstorms almost every day.  Good Scrappin weather.

TGIF.....

I love Fridays.....

Causal day at school for Weston...means no uniform, no homework, the weekend is starting and I have a nice one ahead of me. 

Tomorrow is my One, Two, Three Daisy D class at K2 Scrapbook studio,  Weston has a birthday party in the afternoon and Chelsea is singing the National Anthem at the Opening Ceremonies for the Venice Little League.  Happy and excited for her, but she is a little nervous.

what's going on....

Gary and I had a wonderful Valentine dinner and evening together...we went to a Japanese Steakhouse which is out favorite.  Chelsea treated her sister Tori to dinner while Weston was at the church Brigade. Where he played games and had s'mores.    He had a ball and can't wait to go back.   

We are looking forward to a long weekend away.  No school on Monday and we are headed to Gainesville for the weekend.  Tori has a soccer tournament and we rented a cabin on the lake up there to enjoy and relax.  Saturday night we will be at the Florida Gators vs. FSU womens soccer game.  Really looking forward to that.  I think I will have to bring along some scrapbooking goodies so when I have the desire to scrapbook, I can. 

Coming up this weekend is the kick off of the Treasure Hunt....check out K2's blog for details.  Not sure if  they have any left, but if they do, you won't want to miss out on the fun. A group of us is headed out on Tuesday for an all day Treasure hunt to all the stores on the map.  Can't wait to get started, do the make and takes and buy some new treasures...I always need more lute to scrapbook with.
