New Year Challenge...

a little bit off the photography route but still dealing with photos....I am hosting a scrapbook Challenge over at Scrapbooks.com and I would like you to join in...

The challenge is to create a layout...chose one of the following to create your layout...

1. how you celebrated ringing in the new year....

2. or your hopes for the new year

Your layout must include journaling but does not have to have a photo.

The deadline is Feb. 1.

Let's start with CHA (Craft and Hobby Show)....

First and foremost....spending one on one time with my daughter Chelsea before she leaves to college....PRICELESS!!!!! We had such a great time at CHA...my first time walking the floor and not working and her first time going....we had a wonderful time and saw some wonderful new things....

Over the next few days I will share my top Five favs from CHA Summer.....starting with.............Every single line of Pink Paislee....and Chelsea's pink hair...

Scrap and Dash....

As most of you know I work at my Local Scrapbook Store...K2 Scrapbook Studio....and I have to say it is the best scrapbook store around and the best job I have ever had...

 Each week I create a layout for Scrap and dash....which means you can come by K2 and recreate the same layout for just $5.00 and at this day and age you just can't beat that....here is what you could be creating tonight...

CHA finds...

CHA is always exciting for me...although I do not get to walk around as much as I would like (I do manage to sneak out at lunch and take a few breaks to check out my favorite booths)... it is fun to see all the great new products...

Things I loved at CHA...

1.Sassafrass...love their new lines "Vintage Yummy" was my favorite.

   

2. Heidi Swapp resist paper...way cool and lots of fun to play with the distress inks and masks.

3. All the Pink Paislee lines. I actually one a pack of one of the new lines at the two peas cupcake social.

4. Donna Downey's canvus album and emblishments...Prima is carring these.

5. Loved the new Cosmo Cricket lines

6. The fisketeers...cause they gave me free stuff. A border bunch and new stamps that are not even out yet.

7. Sad....Oct. Afternoon had freight issues and did not have their booth. I was bummed I really love their stuff and wanted to see the new lines.

 

8. Love the MM Great escape line and the teen line...of course I have teens so that was right up my ally.

 

9. I saw your Studio Calico Girls...and I missed out on a Add on on reveal night...was at a CHA party and did not have access to a computer...so bummed about that..wanted the Passion add on.

10. New company...Jillibean soup...very cool pp lines with a dark kraft background and print over it...loved all the lines and they are all named after differnt types of soup. Cute sticker alphas and emblishments..some felt flowers too.

that about covers my top ten at CHA...two more things...I almost forgot...

I did not see Paris Hilton...but she was there and people went nuts knocking down other booths trying to get to her. Here is a photo I found on the Studio Calico Blog...

I did see Jane Seymore in a booth painting while talking to the group that gathered to watch and take photos...I did get several photos of her...she seemed very sweet and down to earth.

Project 365...

I was hoping to get my hands the KOTM from Creating Keepsakes for Jan. Well no such luck...they sold out and had major computer problems....There was a big buzz about this kit and they are trying to iron out the problems.  I am a loyal KOTM customer and I am really bummed.  I am hoping that they will take pre-orders and get some more kits in...but, in the meanwhile I am still keeping up with the project. I am journaling and taking a photo each day...

Imaginisce....

Did some design work for Imaginisce through Scrapbooks.com (KMA) which most of you know I am on the design team there...They sent a package full of goodies from their "Fairest of them All" line and I had to go back and pull out photos of my girls when they were five and three and dressed up as a princess for halloween.  Chelsea was Bell and Tori was Cinderalla....this line from Imaginisce was perfect for these photos....This line is available at Scrapbooks.com if there is a little princess in you life that you want to scrap with this precious "Fairest of the them All" line....Happy Monday...

show and tell Friday...

With Thanksgiving right around the corner and looking forward to my Mom's Turkey dinner I thought I would share a few fall layouts....these were actually scrap and dash at K2 a couple of weeks ago....

I am still collecting the products I need for Ali Edwards Family Gratitude spinner project.... I just about everything I need to get started.  Waiting on a few things via mail and then I will be ready to go.   I aslo have been working on a  Gratitude album that Heidi Swapp had on her blog....she even gives you the instruction and PDF to download and print out the beautiful cover to the album....check it out Here  if you would like to make one for this Thanksgiving and share with family and friends and Thanksgiving  day feast. 

I will share photos of both as soon as I have something finished....Have a great weekend...
