Halloween Horror nights....

Since Halloween is this coming Friday Night and we are getting ready for Trick or Treat  I thought I would share photos from a couple of weeks ago when Chelsea, her friends and I headed to Universal for Halloween horro nights....Usually not my cup of tea but we had to stay over night...sooooo I of course had to go and get the hotel rooms.  It was Chelsea's usual group of friends that went.  It was a bit of an early birthday present for Chelsea, who will be turning 18 on Nov.4th. (which she is more excited about that cause she will get to vote in her first president election on her birthday the day she turns 18). 

Anyway....Halloween Horror nights at Universal was not nearly as scary as I thought it would be....we made it through two haunted houses due to the really long lines and we also went on the simpson ride...which by the way was my favorite part.  Great ride....check it out if you ever go to Univeral Orlando.   Here are some photos from the evening...

CPR here I come....

Heading out early tomorrow for San Jose California....so excited that the Creative Photography Retreat is finally here.  I will be gone until Sunday and will check in then....

As for my dear friend Amanda....did you call me??? never got that message, sorry. Not to mention you have been scrapping it up at SDV....I am so jealous and I have been sick for the past week on and off.

I promise to call you when I get back...love ya girl and all my other wonderful friends that I do not call as often as I should.

Had a great time.  Came back relaxed and suntan.  Here is a run down of what we did....

Key West....

Heading out of town tomorrow for a few days to the Florida Keys...actually all the way to Key West.  I grew up going down there in the summers to visit my Mom's family who lived there.  My Grandmother was actually born and raised there.  I have not been back and years and I looking forward to a few days away and showing my kids the keys...Above photo is the 7 mile bridge.

Gearing up for Spring Break....

Only three more days of school and my kids will officially be on Spring Break.  I am looking forward to the down time.  We will be leaving on Saturday morning and heading to Clearwater Beach for four days.  Tori is playing soccer in the State Cup and we decided to make a mini spring break vacation out of it. 

We will be staying here at the Innisbrook resort.  I am so looking forward to time to relax and just lay by the pool or hit the beach.  The girls are excited to do the whole beach thing  for spring break.

I was hoping to make one of  these on Ali's blog.  Thought it would a cute little album to capture the our mini spring break.  Ali always comes up with the cutes ideas.

Easter morning....Weston finds his Easter basket that the Easter Bunny left especially for him.

Weston had a good time blowing bubbles and playing with his Cosmo Catch that the Bunny left for him...I had a good time taking these photos...love these kind of photos.

The hunt is on....Weston wanted to hide the eggs this year and Tori, my Mom and I went hunting to find them.  Of Course Tori found the most...she loves to win...even at Easter Egg hunting.

This and the following photos were all taken by my shutterbug....Weston.  He loves to take photos.  Wonder where he got that from.  Then again so do the girls.

Later the afternoon Chelsea and I went for a bike ride down the Legacy Trail...it is a new trail that runs from Venice to Sarasota...we only went for about 40 Min's...but it was a wonderful new trail and great for a nice bike ride. Gary and Weston also headed out down the trail. Weston was excited to hang out with Dad and take a bike ride. It wore him out though....he came home and fell asleep at 7pm...which is very unusual for him.

Out of town....

been away for the past few days....spent New Years in Orlando for a soccer tournament.  Pretty low key actually.  Had a small get together on New Years Eve at the house we rented in Orlando with the soccer team and their families.  Lots of fun though....played a million games of Wii....drank some Merry and rang in the New Year.  Will have photos later....

Road Trips....

I love road trips...especially a spontaneous road trip....Took a few days and headed to the east coast of Florida to St Augustine.  My Mom, Chelsea , Weston and I had a wonderful time seeing one of the oldest cities in Florida.  We had no set plans just acted like tourist and spent the days site seeing and shopping.  Doing the tourist thing is tons of fun.  We did celebrate my Mom's birthday on our first day of the trip.

We started out our trip with a stop in Mt Dora to check out down town, do a little shopping  and have lunch with my friend Terri.

This is Terri and I in front of this great little boutique on main street in Mt Dora.  Chelsea and I had a fun time shopping in this store.  I got a great little handbag and Chelsea got a adorable white top.

Our next stop was St Augustine....we got a hotel close to the beach (never made it to the beach though).Spent lots of time in old St Augustine.  Love seeing all the history here.

Spent the morning climbing 219 steps up the Light house and taking in view from the top. 

 

Then found another great shop with some very cool things.  Chelsea was in heaven and so was I.....cause they had a red painted wall on the outside of the store, which made a great spot for a photo shoot.   It was so Elsie!!! 

Later we spent some time exploring the Fort.  Weston really enjoyed this. 

Spent a couple hours in town checking out the tourist trap shops and the oldest school house.

   

Later that evening after a wonderful dinner at Columbia's we headed out on the Ghost and Graveyard tour.  It is a night time tour that is hosted by the local College theater students that takes you around town to see the old hospital, drug store, and old jail while telling ghostly stories and trying to scare you.  It was lots of fun.  I think it was  my favorite part of the trip. The last day we headed back to that cool store for another outfit for Chelsea.  Then we hit the local surf shop where Weston picked out this entire outfit....from head to toe.  He was so cute.  had to try it all on and show it off. I snapped a few more photos on the red wall.

What a great time...so much to do there.  Think we will have head back again soon.
